pa href=”http://www.loxolop.nl/”Loxolop/a is a new folding lamp from Dutch visual artist Ebeacute;re Groenouwe, and is maybe one of the more complicated flatpack shades we’ve ever seen. Two complex shapes somehow fold together. This complexity isn’t to the detriment of the lamp, howevermdash;we like that the user is asked to use their brain a little bit, especially when the result is a fairly complex, original, biomimetic shape suggesting flower petals, insect wings, and rabbit ears. /p
pAlso noteworthy is the cradling of the bulb in the paper shade to create diffuse light. It appears that the bunny ears help balance the light socket at an angle, so that it shines into the interior of the shape, reflecting diffuse light into the room without any appearance of a hot spot./p

pThe shades, made by hand from waste paper generated by the juice packaging industry, are a href=”http://www.loxolop.nl/”available from Ebeacute;re/a for euro;39,95. /p
