The Sneaker Colouring Book
Posted in: Uncategorized
Taking shoe customization back to its primitive form, the no-frills”Sneaker Colouring Book” collects 100 shoe silhouettes from 18 of the top labels known for their distinct designs.
Berlin-based studio PKNTS‘ Daniel Jarosch and Henrik Klingel created the book, cleverly demonstrating the evolution of the sneaker by featuring the kicks in chronological order of production, from the 1916 Keds Champion to the 2002 Le Coq Sportif Escrime. Each line drawing includes the model name and sneaker category, and while most fall under the main three types of trainers—running, basketball and tennis—the less common categories such as bowling, skateboarding, fitness and volleyball all make a proper appearance too.
In celebration of the release of “The Sneaker Colouring Book” publisher Laurence King is taking entries for a sneaker coloring competition. Simply download one of the line drawings, pull out your markers and get coloring for a chance to win £100 worth of Laurence King books. Pick up the book online from Laurence King or Chronicle Books.
