The Demon-Haunted World

Designer Matt Jones recently gave a presentation at the New Zealand conference Webstock called ‘The Demon Haunted World‘.
It’s a good read if you’re at all interested in “the rising urbanisation of the planet and the rapid digitalisation of that urban fabric”. The presentation covers three themes, to quote it:
1. Reclaiming some optimistic visions of the future we might have lost sight of.
2. Ways in which hackers and designers are making re-configured versions of some of those futures-past.
3. Some wild proclamations about the magical future we’re weaving…
