D-Build’s online Marketplace is like Etsy, but with reclaimed materials

pCheck out the A HREF=”http://d-build.org/marketplace/home.php” Marketplace at D-Build.org/A, a sort of Etsy for designers and consumers interested in reclaimed materials. In the A HREF=”http://d-build.org/marketplace/home.php?cat=250″ Products/A section they sell finished products like A HREF=”http://arborandtaylor.com/” Arbor Taylor’s/A Lincoln series of furniture (above), all made from reclaimed lumber; those looking to do their own projects should check out the A HREF=”http://d-build.org/marketplace/home.php?cat=249″ Materials/A section, where you can buy random hunks of old floor beams, planks, boards, framing, and even entire ripped-out walls. Design something up, build it, and sell it; do it right and you’ll make your money back, and then some. /p

INQ’s call of the wild

Sid Lee in Paris has created this campaign for the international launch of UK mobile device INQ, which aims to place the brand slap bang in the middle of the yoof market…

The campaign includes a series of online films and posters, based on the tagline Wild Is Calling. The films see a group of lads performing a series of japes, including teaching a parrot in a zoo to swear (above), and using a remote controlled vacumn-cleaning robot to interrupt a game of golf (below). Mayhem ensues, natch.

The Jackass style of the films may be nothing new, but as campaigns such as the recent Diesel Be Stupid prove, such techniques still have the capacity to go down well with the target audience, who eagerly pass them on. The films are directed by Jerome Langdale and Julien Rocher.

The films are accompanied by a series of posters that reinforce their youthful message. The posters feature photography by Benni Valsson, and typography by Check Morris. Three are shown below.
