Daily Obsesh – Paul & Joe Nail Enamel Trio

imageYour hands make a huge impression. They’re some of the first things people notice about your appearance so a fresh, lovely manicure is one of the easiest and best beauty fixes to improve your overall look!

The Paul & Joe Nail Enamel Trio comes with three perfect colors for spring and summer – a neutral taupe, a rosy pink, and coral orange.

This collection covers the spectrum of colors you’ll want in the warm months. Neutral colors are awesome because they don’t clash with anything. Pinks are girly and cute and sometimes, that exactly what you€™re going for. Orange nails are a great way to embrace the sun and surf of the summer.

A nail polish collection can never be too big and these three polishes rock!

Celeb Poll – ‘Sucker Punch’ Style

imageThe previews for the new fantasy action thriller, ‘Sucker Punch’, seem full of amazing graphics and one visually stimulating scene after another and definitely very different. No matter what, though, there’s no denying that the cast is smoking hot!

Showing up for the red carpet world premier here in Hollywood, it’s been the sexiest turn out we’ve seen in a while! Which ‘Sucker Punch’ star stole the show?

Abbie Cornish looked elegant but modern in a bright cobalt gown with a plunging v-neck line and floor sweeping draping. Retro finger waves and red lips added to her red-carpet glamour.

Vanessa Hudgens showed some skin in a classy way with a backless gown with metallic embellishments. A loose up-do and deep pink lips gave the ensemble a youthful vibe.

Jamie Chung stood out like a ray of sunshine in a strapless yellow dress that showed some serious leg! Nude pumps and a side swept hair style added to the sexy factor.

While all the ladies looked fabulous, there can only be one winner! Who gets your vote? Let us know by taking the poll below!

Stylelist Shares The Most Comfortable Flats for Spring 2011

imageJust call it the Lanvin effect!

Flats were all over the Spring 2011 runways, noticeably so at the French house, where Alber Elbaz’s mantra started a revolution of comfortable shoes for spring. After models at his runway show couldn’t keep their balance in the towering heels provided, the designer had the girls switch to flats.

He said, ‘Damn it with image. You can be stubborn and go after an image, but I’m not an image-maker; I’m a dressmaker. If you don’t feel good in something, you don’t look good with it.’

Even Arianna Huffington put her foot down revealing to Elle ‘my aspiration is to end my life entirely in flats. I feel so much more comfortable if I can walk around without being in pain.’ (The Media guru even went on the record admitting that her biggest fashion regret was a pair of brown suede Manolo Blahnik boots)

Daily Obsesh – Elle Bank

imageWhat if we told you that you could save money by keeping a pet elephant? That would just sound a little bit cray-cray, right? But the truth is … you can – with this great home accessory!

It’s an elephant bank. Not to be confused with a piggy bank. And whether you actually want to store your coins in it or not, it looks darling and sweet sitting on your desk, a shelf or next to your television.

Plus, you have to appreciate that it’s wood-carved, hand-painted, and it’s much larger than it looks in the picture. Not to mention, it has felt on the feet to protect the surface it sits on.

So go on … give in to your need to save by buying this lovely elephant. We’ll call her Sally.

Cylinder Belt Bag

Rodarte’s upcycled bag for Opening Ceremony channels free-spirited style

cylinder1.jpg cylinder2.jpg

From tutus for Black Swan to fine fabrics for furniture maker Knoll, Rodarte‘s Mulleavy sisters often lend their design talents to those seeking their virtuosic ability to cut and paste style references. Their Cylinder Belt Bag for Opening Ceremony, from the first collection in their collaborative line, sees the L.A.-based duo turn a new corner with a sturdy handbag crafted from vintage leather belts.

The upcycled purse extends Rodarte’s latest spring collection for their eponymous label, which drew on their Northern California roots. With Redwoods and and the ’70s in mind, the bag—along with other items like a “Tom Petty” hat and leather lace-up shorts—shows how even with a simple concept, they rework a style to keep it cutting-edge.

Made in Japan, the purse features a buckle closure and adjustable strap, comes in black or brown leather, and sells for $750 from Opening Ceremony or Barneys (black only).

Those in L.A. can check out Rodarte’s fashion-forward perspective in person at the MoCA exhibit “States of Matter,,” on view through 5 June 2011.
