Featured Stockist: Common Thread Studio

Residents and visitors to Pasadena should put this lovely place on their must-see list! Common Thread Studio offers great sewing classes and workshops as well as studio space and industrial sewing equipment for rent. (And they stock UPPERCASE magazine as well.)

Shop owner Jin Kim emailed to let us know about a special event this weekend: “Our local community of stores and artisans are organizing a “block party”/ fundraiser for the Pasadena Humane Society. It will be a night of music, art, shopping to promote our shopping district as well as raising funds for our furry little creatures we love so much. The craft area for ornament making will also be a draw for people who want to contribute to PHS in a small way. The date of the event is on Dec 4th Sat. from 4-10PM.”

Stock UPPERCASE magazine in your shop!

We’re very grateful for our nice stockists who regularly carry the magazine in their bricks and mortor stores and online shops. As I prepare the shipment data for the forthcoming issue 7, I thought I’d invite any potential new stockists who read this blog to try our magazine.

You can make your purchases of the forthcoming and back issues through our wholesale shop and/or sign up for a standing order and you will receive each following issue directly from the printer, which saves time and postage.

Do you know of a store that would be a good fit for UPPERCASE? Please leave the store name and url in the comments: your recommendations are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Featured Stockist: Emeline Annabelle

Congratulations to Emeline Villedary and Annabelle Agnew who just opened a new sewing workspace and shop in Montreal. Named after the owners, it’s a place where you can drop in a sew, take workshops, buy fabrics and supplies and find community and inspiration with other crafters. You can also pick up a copy of UPPERCASE magazine! Click here for their website to find out more about the concept as well as the location and hours.

Featured Stockist: The Curiosity Shoppe

Since we call ourselves “a magazine for the creative and curious” it is only fitting that the publication is available in San Francisco’s The Curiosity Shoppe (they also have Camilla’s book). This cool destination and online store is one of the many creative outlets of married dynamic duo Lauren and Derek.

For our second issue, sfgirlbybay blogger and regular UPPERCASE contributor Victoria Smith wrote and photographed a terrific article about this creative couple. I’ve posted the entire article as a free download: just click here!

Thanks, Lauren and Derek & The Curiosity Shoppe for your continued support of the magazine and our books!
