Get The Winning Look From Our ‘Brunette Beauties’ Poll!

imageBlondes may have more fun, but brunettes have all the style!

We asked you last week to weigh in on which brunette beauty rocked her outfit the best! While Jennifer Hudson looked amazing poured into her abstract print mini and Hilary Duff balanced casual and sexy perfectly, it was Katie Holmes that received majority of the votes at 57%.

Her classic look of blazer (Stella McCartney) and slim cut pants were made more modern and eye-catching with a black and white color contrast and polka dot pumps (Dolce & Gabbana).

We love this versatile look and are showing you how to get it! Click on the slideshow to see how!

Daily Obsesh – Paul & Joe Nail Enamel Trio

imageYour hands make a huge impression. They’re some of the first things people notice about your appearance so a fresh, lovely manicure is one of the easiest and best beauty fixes to improve your overall look!

The Paul & Joe Nail Enamel Trio comes with three perfect colors for spring and summer – a neutral taupe, a rosy pink, and coral orange.

This collection covers the spectrum of colors you’ll want in the warm months. Neutral colors are awesome because they don’t clash with anything. Pinks are girly and cute and sometimes, that exactly what you€™re going for. Orange nails are a great way to embrace the sun and surf of the summer.

A nail polish collection can never be too big and these three polishes rock!

Stylelist Shares The Most Comfortable Flats for Spring 2011

imageJust call it the Lanvin effect!

Flats were all over the Spring 2011 runways, noticeably so at the French house, where Alber Elbaz’s mantra started a revolution of comfortable shoes for spring. After models at his runway show couldn’t keep their balance in the towering heels provided, the designer had the girls switch to flats.

He said, ‘Damn it with image. You can be stubborn and go after an image, but I’m not an image-maker; I’m a dressmaker. If you don’t feel good in something, you don’t look good with it.’

Even Arianna Huffington put her foot down revealing to Elle ‘my aspiration is to end my life entirely in flats. I feel so much more comfortable if I can walk around without being in pain.’ (The Media guru even went on the record admitting that her biggest fashion regret was a pair of brown suede Manolo Blahnik boots)

Proenza Schouler PS1 Wallets

imageIf you are looking for a pop of color in your accessories but aren’t ready to leap into a candy-colored handbag, this Proenza Schouler PS1 Wallet is the perfect choice.

Priced at just $165, the wallet is only available on the Proenza Schouler web site and matches the PS1 handbag satchel shape in a mini mini version. Super cute right?

My favorites are the ones shown, especially the Kelly Green, but there are 13 colors you can choose from!

Daily Obsesh – Elle Bank

imageWhat if we told you that you could save money by keeping a pet elephant? That would just sound a little bit cray-cray, right? But the truth is … you can – with this great home accessory!

It’s an elephant bank. Not to be confused with a piggy bank. And whether you actually want to store your coins in it or not, it looks darling and sweet sitting on your desk, a shelf or next to your television.

Plus, you have to appreciate that it’s wood-carved, hand-painted, and it’s much larger than it looks in the picture. Not to mention, it has felt on the feet to protect the surface it sits on.

So go on … give in to your need to save by buying this lovely elephant. We’ll call her Sally.

Jo Malone Tea Blends Fragrances For a Refreshing, Signature Spring Scent

imageAs a working gal with a nonstop schedule, I rarely have time to feed myself, let alone find ways to relax and unwind. Sure, I find time to sneak in the occasional 3 PM coffee break (if I didn’t, I’d likely crash right at my desk), but how the English consistently make time for traditional afternoon tea is beyond me!

Luckily you can channel the British’s genius winding-down ritual and get a similar peace of mind, no matter how packed your to-do list is, with a tea-time inspired fragrance from Jo Malone.

The brand’s new Tea Blend Fragrances feature 5 distinct scents – Assam & Grapefruit, Earl Grey & Cucumber, Sweet Milk, Sweet Lemon, and Fresh Mint Leaf – all designed to channel that refreshing, calming, and invigorating feeling that accompanies the tradition where everything stops for tea.

These scents may not help you physically escape your endless meetings and presentations, but I’ll embrace any fragrance that will help give me that much-needed daily pick-me-up and help me smell pretty in the process!

Get a Sneak Peek at Matthew Williamson for Macy’s

imageIt’s bright, it’s colorful, it’s printed and it’s classic Matthew Williamson.

However, this Matthew Williamson, officially labeled ‘Matthew Williamson for Impulse, Only at Macy’s’, is priced hundreds, even thousands of dollars below his signature collection.

The limited-edition collection of short dresses, maxi dresses, outerwear pieces, rompers, shorts and blouses ranges in price from $50 to $120, with the suede and leather pieces priced slightly higher. This collection, which hits 225 Macy’s stores on April 13, was previewed on Tuesday evening at a presentation at the Mondrian Hotel in New York’s SoHo, but the designer, sadly, was not in attendance.

‘He has whimsy and fantasy and integrity of design’, Nicole Fischelis, Macy’s group vice president and fashion director, told StyleList. ‘I have been a fan of his work from the beginning and he has been extremely consistent.’

She added – ‘His unique color and print sensibility, his bohemian sensibility and attitude – there’s something very youthful at the same time totally sophisticated. It’s totally for right the contemporary Impulse customer.’
