Glossy Glow

The smooth form of the futuristic looking ‘Mona’ lamps by Lucie Koldova somehow reminds me of Eva from the movie Wall – E. Crafted for ‘Brokis’, in the designer’s signature style, the tinted glass pendant features sensual curves and an elegant presence. The lamp comes in two styles, pedestal and pendant. The pendant version is suspended using proportionately sized lanyards. The juxtaposition of metal and fabric against the glossy form of the lamp brings in a seductive appeal to the lighting system. Mona lamps dresses up your light in Haute Couture.

Future Control

Discovering tangible patterns and predicting future outcomes based on it has always enticed the collective imagination of humanity. From mapping of celestial movements to the weatherman’s forecast, this fascination for predicting the future has helped civilizations to make sense of the macro system that they are part of. The ‘Predictables’ project aims to bring this forecasting to a personal level.

It largely consists of two parts. The first part constitutes an app that scours for the digital data an individual and his social circle produces. This app then connects the dots to make sensible patterns and intelligently proposes future outcomes. The second part consists of systems that interfaces with the individual. The interaction with the individual is made possible using intuitive interfaces projected on a variety of surfaces using a smart watch or a desktop pico projector.

The complex analysis algorithm promises to bring prediction into a wide variety of areas in personal life including career, love and friendships. I would willingly part with my entire savings for it if I could get accurate predictions about my Gf’s mood swings.

Quick First Aid

Simply put, Healthy is a quick response to everyday life emergencies. It is a dispenser that you can mount in the kitchen or the bathroom and can deliver cream, bandage, disinfectant and pills when you are in a hurry to be treated. Easy to use, simple push, pull, turn and that’s it, almost healed!

Dispenser divided into three sections, it focuses on cut, burn and headache.
Each part has a cartridge that delivers cream for burn, pills for headache and disinfectant for cut.
The cut part has a cotton dispenser and bandage dispenser.
Push to get cream, pills and disinfectant, pull to get cotton and turn to get bandage.

Pretty Flight For A Flight Guy

The Aerial filming and observation mini helicopter systems have ushered in an era of filming spectacular and dynamic visuals at an affordable budget. Also employed in risky operations such as inspection of high voltage electric lines and surveillance, they greatly help to minimize human casualties. However filming with the mini helicopters does come with some constraints. For one, it requires a skilled team of at least two persons working in tandem. While one controls the flying machine, the other helms the camera. This mandatory synchronization requirement results in added effort and expense for achieving the perfect shot.

The Quadrocopter BZ-4 is a mini copter that has been designed to bring down the complications and cost involved in such operations. The unpiloted hang-glider’s automated flight control and planning system eliminates the need for a copter operator and the subsequent human errors, thereby leaving the focus only on the camera work on a pre-configured flight path.

The Hang-glider helicopter’s futuristic, streamlined design language reflects its innovative appeal and efficiency. The legs that houses the copter rotors are collapsible to form a tight unit, there by resulting in a footprint so small that it can be safely carried in a backpack. The attention to such fine practical details makes this video copter a unique and attractive proposition in a crowded market. Quadrocopter BZ-4 seems like the stuff Superman takes his selfies with.

Articulate Beats

I completely connect with the Le Pen concept, where the designer has tried to marry a pen with a music player. I still recollect those glory days when I used to solve math equations to the beats of U2 and Police. Somehow music helped me zone in and focus on those numbers. I’m sure many of you like to work with something strumming in the background, Le Pen takes an innovative approach towards that.

Watch Me, Please!

It’s the current norm to have smart watches hook up with smartphones via Bluetooth, however they are limited by their display size. The Watch-Me has extended display up to 20mm x 140mm and with gyroscope sensor installation. The accompanying video explains how this concept works and I am sold on it. Can’t wait to get my hands on one of these babies and try them on….have a look….

The Pill Watch is an innovative way to ensure that you don’t forget to take your pills on time. It even has a small compartment to store the tablet. I suppose you can keep it as an emergency backup pill or the real deal. The watch is capable of measuring the pulse rate, which is a good add-on.
