Basé à Londres, le studio United Visual Artists a créé une installation de lumières particulière pour la galerie Barbican. Elle consiste à accorder ou faire varier les mouvements de la lumière avec les différents sons émis. Le projet « Momentum » est à découvrir en vidéo et à travers les photos de Bethany Clark dans suite.
Les équipes de Moriyuki Ochiai Architects ont réalisé récemment la décoration intérieur de ce bar et restaurant appelé Light Cave à Tokyo. Des choix de couleurs et de matières très réussis, créant ainsi une ambiance cosy et unique à découvrir dans une série d’images dans la suite de l’article.
The Cantador lamp brings light and sound together like never before. The minimal pendant uses hidden LEDs against a specialized film and acid finish glass to create a diffused, multidirectional light that even illuminates upwards. An integrated sound transducer produces subtle vibrations in the glass that fall in rhythm with whatever music is playing. Together, these features create the perfect atmospheric lamp. The MIKA 350 is a pendant lamp inspired by the “palozzas” houses of the ancient Celtic forts that were built in Galicia from 6th century BC. The design pays homage to the architectural tradition by using the same granite and wood composition. The result is a minimalist yet organic object that easily compliments both traditional and modern interiors.

Etant à l’origine un projet Kickstarter, Lumio est un excellent objet situé à mi-chemin entre une lampe et un livre. Pensé par Max Gunawan, ce projet maintenant commercialisé au prix de 160$ dans trois coloris est à découvrir en images et vidéo dans la suite, alliant avec intelligence décoration, utilité et mobilité.
Sölvesborg Bridge, d’une longueur de 756 mètres, est le pont proposant au piéton la plus longue balade et est de ce fait le plus long d’Europe. Eugeni Quitllet‘s K Ray lamp is like an organic UFO, a network of veins hollowed out of material which result in an object suspended in a frame. The illusion lies in its mysterious energy source with appears to derive power out of thin air.

The Herba lamp, designed for the Bertolucci brand, is actually 5 lights in 1, and takes inspiration from natural fiber geometries derived from biomimetic observation.
