Prismatic Light Sculptures

As you might guess from the name, the Prisma lamp series takes inspiration from the multifaceted quality of optical prisms. The sculptural series consisting of a pendant, wall, and floor lamp, in stark white or jet black. Like the headlight of a car, the light is amplified by mirrored surfaces inside the shade. By adjusting these planes, the reflected light can be directed in any direction the user desires.

Perfect Circles

Apsis is based on the circle’s most fundamental quality – rotational symmetry. The laminated beech wood body revolves freely around a limestone trey base, without the need for complicated mechanisms commonly associated with adjustable lamps. In placing the base ring over the circular stone base, a bearing is created, allowing the lamp to rotate freely. The cable and LED components are hidden within the body and head, creating a clean, uninterrupted aesthetic that emphasises the lamp’s simple geometry.

Solar Movement Light

Jon Liow’s Solar concept is an interactive light and smartphone app system that synchronizes with a user-specified timezone to mirror the sun’s natural light cycle. The user’s curiosity can run wild as they explore different timezones from the comfort of home. This unique take on time allows us to feel connected with places we may have never even been or seen, with the user being able to experience the light cycle of any location in the world.
The device has several different functions. In its simplest form, the user can either allow the app to automatically sync with the light to trigger a twenty-four hour cycle based on their current location, or manually select any city in the world. Once the light is triggered by the app via Bluetooth, it runs independently without needing to be connected to the smartphone. Secondary functions of the system include the ability for the user to invert the light cycle. This option allows the user to reverse the function of the light, resulting in it shining brightest during the timezone’s darkest hours and remaining dark during the timezone’s brightest hours. The ambient function allows the user to disengage the twenty-four hour light cycle, and control the brightness of the light manually.

70s Lighting Fit for Today

One look at the Faro lighting collection and you’ll be reminded of boogie, polyester, and peace! This 70′s inspired series breathes new life into mod style by recreating the plastic shell pendants that were popular almost 40 years ago. Thick transparent glass  diffuses light in layered waves for a groovy glow that subtly resembles a lighthouse lantern.

Skylight Lamp

Hand Stitched Lighting

Until cordless electricity is perfected, we’re going to love designs like the Stitched lamp that put clever use to the otherwise cumbersome cord! The wall-mounted design is made of a simple walnut board and fabric covered electric cord that is “hand-stitched” through the veneer in the shape of a stereotypical shade. In vivid blue against dark wood, the cord stands out as a decorative accent whether the light is on or off.

A Tribute to Tesla

An homage to Nikola Tesla, the L1 Lamp takes inspiration from the electromagnetic coils he invented. Within the circular disc is a grid of LED lights reflected in different directions. The reflected light is transferred evenly to both sides, creating a diffused glow that will illuminate large rooms without occupying much physical space itself.

Motion Sensor Magic

The Area lamp brings interactive lighting to a whole new level with its micro-motion sensors that allow the user to illuminate only specific sections with just a simple hand gesture. Without even touching it, simply wave your hand under the surface to activate the LEDS you want. Do the same to turn them off! Its perfect for work or the kitchen, but we want it just for the party tricks! Watch it in action —>
