He’s a well known artist, living and working in Paris. This is one of his sculptures that’s currently showing at Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin until April 26th (the geometric shark is also really cool). It took me a second look to realize that this crossover of analog and digital subject-matter actually is a sculpture. More of his work can be seen here.

While browsing the site I also recognized the work he did for AIR. Checking out their website left me pretty impressed. It’s well executed and all the details are nailed down (music streams really well in the ‘records/audio’ section and the navigation makes sense). All design and backend was done by Supergazol in Paris.

Another cool link I saw while on the Fabrik Project website, reminds me a lot of the United Visual Artists work. Check out his other stuff, again not in english, but all very interesting. He experiments with different generative systems to create, often gigantic, visuals that represent a particular stream of data (varying from project to project).

Perhaps the most ironic post for this site ever, Aloe reimagines the role of erotic toys.

WAD magazine

WAD’s an urban fashion and culture magazine that takes a really unique approach to its publishing. Not only have they set up a totally awesome way to navigate older editions on their site, they’ve also reworked how each issue is themed and edited. A guest editor, that is usually a top player in a particular industry (including the head of Ed Banger Records), is given free rein over their own issue. Here

Dipsticks

My fascination with poly-urethane resin art continues with Dipsticks, a sculpture series by Brooklyn based artist Nick van Woert. These mutated, warted, deformed figures are anything but vile. Check his Dipsticks (the humans) series here.

He’s an Italian graffiti artist that paints gigantic wall pieces, whose also done some cool stop-motion work. MUTO is definitely one of them worth checking out. Really impressive for it’s length and the sheer amount of wall coverage (not to mention all the other graffiti he paints over). Check his site here, be sure to scroll through the blog.

A new t-shirt 2.0 company, I Love Boxie. Call them up, tell them your story and you’ll receive a imperfect hand printed t-shirt with your story as a “one-liner” printed on the front. Neat idea but i must say the website is a little confusing…
