Scotch & Soda

Scotch & Soda is a clothing line from Amsterdam sporting more than great clothing.

They’ve built a web experience that’s beautifully curated, very visual and user friendly. I particularly like the grab-and-drag navigation on the ‘collection’ page. Showing their product in real life situations tells a great brand story, being able the shuffle through them with ease makes it even better. Have a look for yourself here.

Awesome stuff from London-based, Owen Gildersleeve.

From Owen’s site: He graduated from The University of Brighton in 2008, and has since worked for a range of international clients. His work explores both 2D and 3D styles, and he finds great enjoyment in experimenting with new materials and techniques.

Folding Plug

Not exactly relevant for us over here in North America, but an excellent solution

to a problem I can’t believe went unaddressed for so long!! (but I guess that’s how it goes with all the best ideas). It was created by Min-Kyu Choi and recently stole the show at the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year exhibit (winning the 2010 design of the year across all categories). Congrats Min-Kyu Choi!

Interesting use of letter press and dice, more pics after the jump…

He’s a print-maker working from Brooklyn (according to his Etsy page), where he cleverly sets dice in different patterns, inks them, and runs the blocks through a letterpress. It’s a great idea, I wonder what else you could send through there?
