Stephanie Rammeloo’s amazing home in Amsterdam

Schommel

You probably remember this post … I think everybody in blogland agreed that this is a gorgeous living room…I was lucky that after posting the person who lives here send me a very nice email and her name is Stephanie Rammeloo.

Woonkamer

Stephanie lives in this amazing house in Amsterdam and as you can clearly see from her home she is a very creative and stylish lady … Stephanie began her career by making cookbooks and advertising concepts for a publisher, but soon she became a freelance stylist, and as she calls herself she is a concept-designer, working for Dutch magazines like VT Wonen

Happiness-is-a-Cupcake

But that’s certainly not all this very nice lady does… Stephanie recently co-authored, styled and illustrated two fantastic cook books….The first one is Happiness is a Cupcake together with  Sanne Dirkzwager and beautiful photography by Paul Barbera, on of Stephanie’s favorite photographers.

Office

Stephanie works from this office…yes I’m jealous and Yes I love and understand ‘the white’ … her latest cook book is about my favorite food country in the world, although I love the asian food, I have to eat Italian once a week, so Stephanie’s wonderful book is high on my wish-list… La Cucina d’Abruzzo… Stephanie partnered up again with Sanne Dirkzwager and created the whole concept for this cook book, the beautiful images are by Mark Niedermann.

Abruzzo

One of Stephanie’s best examples of knowing how to bring style, functionality and taste to a house is her fantastic own home … her friend Paul Barbera
made some beautiful pictures of it.

Closets

And with knowing how to combine functionality with style I mean these
two great build-in closets, the white doors are amazing, I would love
to hear who made them for her 🙂

Slaapkamer

For her work, Stephanie needs to keep the inspiration flowing, she likes
to keep up with what is happening in the
world and according to her there is no better way of doing this than
traveling, so she tries to do that as often as possible…well Stephanie
you are more than welcome to visit Malaysia and help me create a beautiful home like yours. Thank you!

If you would like to ask Stephanie something about her work please send her an email.

Tomorrow I will be showing you a post about Stephanie’s visit to Maison et Objet in Paris last January, where she made some great images for us and spotted the latest trends.

Bed Willemien

Willemien

You maybe wondering why I’m not posting this bed for a child on B:Kids … well I thought you don’t want to miss a bed like this…I think it’s one of the most beautiful beds I have seen in a very long time! Two Dutch ladies, Nathalie Fransen de Vette and Tessa Weerdenburg, founded their Interior Design agency,  Nu interieur|ontwerp  a while ago and as part of their services they designed two gorgeous furniture objects :: Bed Willemien and Stool Tess

…and if you would like to win one of the stools head over to B:Kids because they are giving one away!

Stodiphlm Studiomhl

Four posts in One today that are all being connected with each other … I start with studio mhl … after graduating from the design Academy in Eindhoven and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, Monique van Bruggen started her own jewellery label in 2004 called mhl. Together with fellow jewellery designer Bonne van der Ree she shares a studio/showroom in Amsterdam called Studio Bonbon.

But perhaps you have heard her name somewhere else recently … could be possible that you have seen Monique at work at Studio IJM, the well-known and probably the best styling studio from the Netherlands …

Ebontwerp

and while reading Monique’s beautiful blog I discovered another talent and from Monique … namely designing her boy friends websiteeb ontwerp‘ …and this is how I found the cool furniture designs by him, Erik Bakker.

I immediately recognized the beautiful ceramic vase on the table, yes it is from Mara Skujeniece from her Spool series. It’s not the first time I’m writing about this amazing artisit, I really love her work (the new website looks great!) and I am so happy that I now know of a place where I can buy here collection online …. Zilu

Maraskujeniece

And this is the fourth part of my post today for you … Zilu a new Dutch online webshop founded by  Ghazaleh Dabiran and her husband. Zilu is a place where you can buy beautiful handmade products made with care and from very high quality. Some of the designers at Zilu will be very familiar for you but some of you, like studio mhl will probably be a nice addition to your wishlist!

Julliette told me that her inspiration often comes from very small everyday things that are been taken for granted and not receiving the attention it deserves, like the plants in your home …. please send Juliette an email if you would like to get more information about her work. {Thanks Lenneke!}

Snout Cups

Freaksunited

Last week we were invited to the lovely home of Jorine and Egbert Jan in the Netherlands, two very talented Dutch designers, who both know how to ‘play’ with ceramics in the funniest way possible … I LOVE these Snout Cups! Wouldn’t it be great fun to see your guests funny faces when you drink your cup and they see your face transform in a cow, piggy, monkey or doggie! For more information click here

Desk of the future…

Marliesromberg

I couldn’t find a more appropriate design then the Dear Diary 1.0 … a computer embedded in a traditional wooden desk by Dutch designer Marlies Romberg…to start my first day on Bloesem. It’s the perfect example of bringing the Old and the New together in the beginning of this New Year … and the other reason is that I will be buying a new computer today …my sweet apple really has become too slow, I will miss my buddy, he has been a very good friend of mine for a long time…but time to move on and speed things up … more info about Dear Diary 1.0 here at Mocoloco..

{ps. tomorrow I will be back with more from the Let’s Get Personal Tour, more Dutch designers will be showing their homes :)}

What is there not to Love…

Lennekewispelwey

I told you about how I wished I could go to the Dutch Design Week this year, but this morning I was already happy browsing through the incredible work by Lenneke Wispelwey, who together with Paula Arntzen, is showing her porcelain and paper designs during this event…. wowo…everything Lenneke makes is just stunning and a feast for the eye …I started with her ‘flower me’ (vases) series and have sent an email to Lenneke immediately to see if she can ship this vase overseas 🙂 …

Lennekewispelwey_buttons

Then I clicked on Lenneke‘s ‘buttons’ …and was stunned again by the beauty I saw…the buttons are available here and here

Lennekewispelwey_cakestands

and ohh how could I have missed these ‘cakestands’ series last year… Lenneke, thank you for creating your beautiful things for us!

This weekend the Dutch design week 2009 starts and oh how I wish I could go there … if you have images from this event you would like to share with me on Bloesem, please shoot me an email…I would like to sign off this week with the incredible textile designs by Mae Engelgeer, aka fabricfreak. She designed this ‘Muse Collection‘ as an ode to her muse: the bow and the collection was manufactured at Audax textile museum. Some of the pieces are available online at Wannekes.
