Bling With The Unit

Excuse me, but diamonds are no longer anyone’s best friend; bags are! Given the kind of investments we do – the latest laptop, tablet, smartphone and portable music device; the sum of all purchases at times exceeds the cost of the solitaire on my finger. It’s only logical that investments in portables that take care of our precious gadgets are given more importance. Swedish Group Unit Portables is house dedicated to this cause and we welcome them to this side of the Atlantic with an open embrace.

The collection of bags and pouches from Unit Portables reflect intense thought given to the process of design, which makes us really happy. For instance the Unit 01 Shoulder Bag is not just a bag to hold your laptop, its comes with additional two smaller pouches, Unit 02 and 03, that are designed to carry your phone, wallet or charger. They hook onto the main bag via solid poppers mounted on a strip; making the bag truly customizable.

Scandinavian sensibilities are evident in the crafting of the Unit 05 Overnight Bag. Functioning as an overnight bag, the carryover comes with a complimenting Unit 06 see-through mesh toilet bag, Unit 07 a computer sleeve and Unit 08, a practical pouch to manage all your cables. All these additional Units hook onto the inside or outside of Unit 05. They have thought about it all!

Rounding up the collection is the Unit 04 iPad Bag, Unit 09 Leather Travel Document Holder and Unit 10 Leather Phone Pouch. The biggest plus side to the Unit System is that it allows for complete customization of your bag; add and remove whatever suits your convenience.

The entire range is available in the States via AC Gears. In case you are in the village area of New York City, pop over to their curated electronics/lifestyle store.
