Evolving In Bikes

The Crescent evolve is an electric bicycle designed for young guns who would like an alternative to mopeds. Based on the research and feedback gathered, the design evolved to what it is today. It main focus in design was to integrate the battery to the shape and to create a wholeness that is simple and intuitive. The electric bicycle is easy to use and operate, with an automatic transmission engine.
It features a smart modular system that allows you to choose design with mudguards, rear rack, or without. As per the feedback, the battery design is based on “cradle-to-cradle,” to maximize the battery life and minimize environmental impacts.

Beasty Beauty In The Snow

Its peak summer in some countries so hopefully Michal Bonikowski’s Snowmobile concept will bring you some respite! In any case it’s awesome to see some diverse talents in Michal, who is famous for his Facebook Phones on YD. The mission with this snowmobile is pure personal pleasure; something that is a perfect marriage of excellent handling, all-terrain-vehicle and a closed cabin for the driver.

Sporting an efficient electric drive it will easily take us up the slope (even the ones hardly accessible) or to work by a snowy road forgotten by civilization.

The Power of Z

Z-FIXIE is a fixed-gear bicycle concept with polished Z-shaped frame. All the elements of the bike are connected to the Z-shaped frame. This includes the top tube, the seat tube, the bottom bracket and the chain stays. Designed to look uber cool and sophisticated, the design enjoys high stability from the traditional bike structure. Care has been taken to ensure that design is completely compatible with current components in the market. It even features perfectly harmonized integrated rear lamp and aero spoke wheels. Looks really cool, if you ask me!

Mean, Clean Machine

Lightness and aerodynamic efficiency are refined to perfection in this single seater concept, the McLaren JetSet. Iconic McLaren styling in the front meets a futuristic backside fit with drag-reducing draped fenders and all. Because there’s no rear seat, the body can taper narrower and lower to further enhance aerodynamics, while ultralight carbon fiber composites in the chassis, body, suspension and wheels keep the 100%-electric car’s weight to a minimum.

Mobile Pavilion Car

Designer Sean Seongjun Ko describes his Inner City Vehicle as a mobile pavilion that resembles an urban cocoon. A vehicle in which people can relax and enjoy a comfortable ride, in a ‘classic yet modern’ design that romanticizes the future. The compact 4-seater vehicle fits into the sustainable environment of the future city by using hydrogen fuel cell technology. The designing use autonomous technology, and the interior space is very flexible; the seating layout also differs from the usual norm where every passenger faces single direction.

As the designer explains, “The interior design of the vehicle takes inspiration from wavy and sliced sculptures. Each sliced part has different curves and combination of these parts creates different forms, which allow different sitting positions and application of various materials.”

eXtreme Crossover

Futuristic crossover styling meets space-age materials in Marianna Merenmies’ 3-passenger concept, “eXtremes.” It’s is an exploration into the use of Aerogel, a material often used in space exploration, as a lightweight, insulating automotive shell. The material, which is 99.8% gas, can be used for insulation against severe temperatures in areas like the Siberian Tundra that are susceptible to extreme weather.
