Packaging blog lovelypackage.com is featuring our work for The Pop Shoppe from a few years ago.

It’s interesting timing to see this work again because we’re hard at work on a new and exciting project that will be launching sometime this summer. It’s top secret so all I can tell you is that The Pop Shoppe will have an ewnay ebsiteway *wink, wink* in a couple of months. Stay tuned.

AmoebaCorp.’s Mikey Richardson has been appointed a member of RGD Ontario’s Advisory Committee.

Members of the Advisory Committee provide insight on RGD policy and initiatives, helping to shape the way our industry does business. Mr. Richardson (pictured above documenting local neighbourhood activity), was unavailable for comment due to “kids on lawn”.

Congratulations, Mikey! Coffee and sandwiches will be available in the back after meetings are adjourned.

If you can’t make it, here are a few tips guaranteed to improve your portfolio immensely:

1. Stop using papyrus.

2. Fewer fairies, more unicorns.

3. See Wal-mart. Do the opposite.

Acceleration Website Goes Live

FACT: Acceleration employs actual wizards who spend 24 hours a day casting spells to make sure the technology needs of their clients are consistently exceeded.

Or at least that’s how it seems. We don’t need to know how it works, we just know that the results are unsurpassed and if we were the betting sort, we’d bet that some sort of witchcraft is involved. The Cape Town-based worldwide provider of digital marketing consulting, smartsourcing and technology services asked us to provide a simple, straightforward site that didn’t downplay the brilliance of the aforementioned sorcery and we were happy to oblige.

“We were really impressed by the level of thinking AmoebaCorp brought to the table even at the briefing stage and the site design was nothing short of outstanding”, says Ward Alsop, Marketing Communications Manager at Acceleration.  “You know you’re on to something good when an international company working to advance humankind learns about you and gets in touch directly as a result of your website”.

AmoebaCorp. wins University of Calgary

We just flew in from Calgary and boy, are our arms tired.

No seriously. It’s been non-stop high-fives around here since we learned that we’d be working with U of C helping to develop a new design system and recruitment strategy. Here’s what important folks on their side are saying about the decision:

“AmoebaCorp has a great reputation as a firm that really gets youth but we were surprised by the depth of their strategic ability and by the importance they place on providing a strong strategic foundation before anything else begins”, says Dan Seneker, Associate Director Student Recruitment.

That was nice, guys. Thanks. We’ll post new work for U of C in this section once it launches. In the meantime, if you are thinking of attending school this fall, we hear University of Calgary is a pretty fine institution.

AmoebaCorp. at Flash in the Can

Our very own Mikey Richardson (pictured above) represented AmoebaCorp. at Toronto’s Flash in the Can conference in April. His talk on the creative process called “The Things I Learned About Being Creative” was featured in BlogTO’s summary of conference highlights which you can read here.
