For a long time now I have a BIG crush on the shelving systems from String! In 1949 Swedish architect Nils Strinning designed this ‘simple’ construction of powder coated steel frames
on which wooden elements hang. It’s timeless, very functional and makes all your books and precious things look more beautiful. {Image above is from City-furniture and below if from Elisabeth Dunker’s home}

While visiting Singapore last month I finally found a shop that sells the String shelves here in Asia… it’s called Style Nordic on Ann Siang Road, one of the nicest streets in Singapore by the way… of course online there is a lot to find about String shelves…vintage ones and new ones are available throughout the web…
