Spotted on Mad Men, Gary Hustwit Recreates Helvetica Poster

If you’ve been closely watching this latest season of Mad Men, there’s a chance you’ve caught a glimpse of the orange poster using type foundry Stempel‘s 1960 campaign for their new typeface, Helvetica. Quick to cash in on the great prop is Mr. Helvetica himself, documentary director Gary Hustwit, who just this week released a limited edition copy of the poster for sale. It’s the same design, but with Stemple’s small copy at the top removed and replaced with reference to Hustwit’s popular 2007 film about the typeface.
