Rich Brilliant Willing is Theo Richardson, Charles Brill and Alex Williams—a trio of New York based designers that create environments, furniture and product designs that “riff on industrial finishes and readymade components mixed with custom elements”. Most recently, they’ve designed a set of fixtures for Urban Outfitters.

Though this isn’t their first foray into a retail environment—they worked with I.D. Magazine, Areaware and Charles & Marie on their Box Top Pop Up Shop at Design Miami 2008—the designers cited the new challenge of reinterpreting Urban Outfitter’s already strong identity, giving them an opportunity to flex their design muscles a little and create pieces that reference the “mish-mash of the urban environment.”

A seafoam shelving unit is based loosely on the skeleton of a dresser. A table is lashed together from wooden planks, floating on a bright yellow base. Finally, hang bars are made from scaffolding components, with the false-front of a filing cabinet.
