Our teenagers like doing hieroglyphics with their thumbs

pEmoticons were invented to express concepts within the tightly-limited interface of first computer keyboards, then cell phone keypads. Seeing the emoticon-covered A HREF=”http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1SKU=118497RN=382″ shower curtain/A above makes me wonder: What will archaeologists think when they dig one of these up in 5,000 years? Will they assume these were the hieroglyphics of our time? /p

pI also wonder if they’ll be able to assemble the curtain right-side-up, puzzle out that these are facial expressions, and conclude that all humans of our era had our heads tilted at 90 degrees to the left./p
