pa href=”http://studioefra.com/”Studio Efra/a has developed a smart and clean way to use thin-slab concrete in furniture./p

pOlithas, whose title comes from a combination of the Spanish word for wave (Ola) and the Greek word for stone (Lithos), had the goal of making “stone-like slabs appear to be light and fluid like a wave.” To do so, they cast ridges into the underside of thin slabs of concrete, which provides and organic visual element but also reinforces the structure of the entire piece. Additionally, the ridges are engineered to perfectly fit the legs, made from stainless steel rod: they fit perfectly in, and, with the weight of the concrete pieces, will likely need no further fastening (at least for normal use)./p
