An interactive experience evolving right in front of attendees, the 100 international artists creating Nova—São Paulo’s largest creative endeavor on view at the Museu da Imagem e do Som—take the stage for an immersive platform that challenges contemporary techniques and modern technology.
Put on by the creative consortium Rojo, artists such as Krink and MWM Graphics (USA), Highraff and Bruno 9li (Brazil) and Ryoichi Kurikawa (Japan) have taken up residence to make their mark on mediums spanning everything from hand-made illustrations to digital media.
Musical performances by Chicks on Speed, Fuck Buttons and more add to the excitement while workshops, video installations, roundtables and more inform visitors and other artists alike.
Be sure to check out Rojo’s beautifully produced video of the artists in action. Nova runs through 15 August 2010.
