Nice work for Orange, ESPN, Lucozade and more…
Posted in: UncategorizedOpening this week’s round-up of great new work is an ad from Fallon for Orange, to promote the mobile brand’s new ‘Film To Go’ offering. Directed by Chris Palmer, the spot sees everyday objects become giant popcorn-making machines…
ECD: Santiago Lucero; CD: Gui Borchert; Creatives: Mariano Cassisi, Laura Visco; Prod co: Gorgeous; Director: Chris Palmer.
This amusing new spot from Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam is for ESPN, and is a homage to the super fans, who are there “for every high, and every low, throughout the entire season”. ECDs: Mark Bernath, Eric Quennoy; Creatives: Barney Hobson, Rick Chant; Prod co: Coy!; Directors: Mark Denton, Sean De Sperango.
Grey London is behind this ad for Lucozade, which sees the James Cleaver Quintet bravely rock out while skateboarding down a hill. It’s basically the British version of the recent US Lucozade skating spot, shown here. Creatives: Dave Monk, Matt Waller. Prod co: Mustard. Director: Dom Bridges.
A new campaign from Sapient Nitro now, for Foot Locker, which features sneaker-obsessed students reinterpreting historical events by placing the emphasis on footwear. Shown above is their version of the Wright Brothers’ story. CDs: Scott Higgins, Chris McMurtrey; Creatives: Nick Sylvester, Rodney White; Prod co: Biscuit Filmworks; Director: Aaron Ruell.
Brazilian agency W/McCann commissioned animation and design shop Molho to create these films, which offer up two manifestos about democracy and the internet. The films feature some lovely typography, which might look as if it is constructed in wood but is in fact all animation (which is ever-so-slightly disappointing to discover…).
Quirky directing team Canada (who are in fact Spanish), have shot this new promo for new track White Nights by Oh Land. Prod co: Partizan.
We finish this week with a bittersweet love story from director Kris Hofmann, which she describes as “a story of not knowing a good thing until it’s gone”. Sniff.
