pPhilips’ a href=”http://www.lighting.philips.com/microsite/living_colors/”LivingColors/a is a color-changing LED lamp that emits a rich spectrum of colored light against a wall for reflection back into the room. /p

pI’ve heard about this before, but at the North American launch of the product at NeoCon this year, I discovered the suprisingly awesome remote that comes with the system. Users need only to tap the RGB wheel to change the color of the light instantaneously. By sliding a finger along the gradient, the LED will slowly change from ROY to G to BIV. There are also controls for brightness and saturation, so if you’re tired of color, you can turn it all to white. Watch our quick video demo in the video above. /p

pThough I can’t imagine wanting a color changing, LED mood light, something about tapping a color wheel and getting an immediate response feels like magic. If only it could control the colors of paint…/p
