I found these fascinating…and completely disturbing. Any idea what they are?

They’re gourds grown in forms by “tree grafter” Dan Ladd, taken from Dark Roasted Blend’s excellent “Living Architecture” photo collection. I can’t decide if they’re art, or an abomination!
