Miss The Oscars? Check Out Stylehive’s Academy Awards Red Carpet Roundup!
Posted in: Uncategorized  | While last night’s 82nd Annual Academy Awards was definitely a big night for Kathryn Bigelow and the rest of the “Hurt Locker” crew (take that, James Cameron!), the Oscars are also always a huge night for red carpet fashion. And although the night’s main winners aren’t always the event’s best dressed to boot (they can’t have it all, can they?), Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock still managed to make my list of top dresses of the night! Her shimmery platinum Marchesa dress, paired with contrasting red lipstick and sleek straight hair, suited her perfectly and fit her like a glove (unlike Kathryn Bigelow’s, which was more like a vice — she couldn’t even breathe!). Another of my personal favorites was Miley Cyrus, strangely enough, who rocked a gorgeous champagne-colored bustier gown by Jenny Packham that had just the right amount of sparkle. And as much as I love Anna Kendrick, her flowy Elie Saab gown didn’t really knock me off my feet, and Zoe Saldana’s dress was only pretty from the waist up — what was with all those ridiculous ruffles?
