MFA Designer as Author: ‘Potential Energy’ Thesis Forum

sva_thesisforum.jpg

SVA’s MFA Designer as Author program will be presenting its first-ever Thesis Forum at the new SVA Visual Arts Theater next Wednesday, April 22. It’s a marathon event–running 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. (yikes!), where students will present their theses “on the big stage.” Open to the public, moderators will include Milton Glaser, Scott Stowell, Brian Collins, Steven Heller and Lita Talarico. I’ll be giving an end-note to the thing (if I’m still conscious at the end of listening, and synthesizing, 8 hours of design presentations), but there will be plenty of breaks and snacks.

The SVA Theater is located at 333 West 23rd St. And if you can’t make the event, you can always attend the opening of the exhibition on Tuesday, May 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Visual Arts Gallery, 601 West 26th Street, 15th Floor. (Up until May 16).
