Here’s a bumper crop of great new advertising that has passed through CR Towers of late. First up is a spot directed by Martin de Thurah for Swiss air rescue company Rega. De Thurah, who is best known for his elegant music video and short film work, brings a filmic touch to this enigmatic ad.
Coca-Cola ad, directed by Dougal Wilson, agency: Mother, production company: Blink
Next up is Mother’s new Coca-Cola ad, which is based around a catchy tune by Calvin Harris, titled Yeah Yeah Yeah La La La. Directed by Dougal Wilson, it shows his usual charm as a group of creatures living in a Hammond organ pop up to sing a song when they are fed Coke.
Oasis ad, directed by Joseph Kahn, agency: Mother
Mother is also behind this silly but fun ad for Oasis drinks, which sees a giant rubber duck (Rubberduckzilla) rampaging through a Japanese city.
Le Sense Propre film for Adobe CS4, director: Cisma, agency: Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, production company: Blacklist
Le Sens Propre is a new short film that forms part of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners’ campaign for Adobe Creative Suite 4, where directors and artists are given an open brief to use the software to create a piece of artwork. Directed by Blacklist’s Cisma, this is a charming, if surreal, tale of a little girl’s party.
Inside the Black Jersey film for adidas, directors: Stacey Lee, Helena Brooks, agency: 180 Amsterdam, production company: U-Turn Content
This film, from 180 Amsterdam for adidas, forms an intro to a series of ten-minute documentaries that reveal life inside the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team. The films will roll out over the next two months and will be screened on adidas.tv.
Realise Your Dream film for the British Council, written and directed by The Glue Society
The Glue Society in Sydney has created a series of films (first one shown above) for the British Council, to advertise its Realise Your Dream award, a scheme offering the chance for five young Australian creative people to travel to the UK and work with Britain’s leading arts talent. The campaign sees Britain’s iconic figureheads the lion and the unicorn brought to life with the help of prosthetic artist Kathryn Brown.
