Man jumps bull for BBC Radio 4

Fallon has created this striking spot, featuring a man jumping over a bull, to advertise a new series on BBC Radio 4 titled ‘A History of the World in 100 Objects’.

The film is the first of two films by the agency to promote the radio series, which is created in partnership with the British Museum, and will tell the stories behind various objects. In this case, the story is centred around a ritual performed by men in 1700 BC Minoan Crete to conquer their fear.

Directed by Wiz, the film was shot in Spain where a man jumped over a several prime fighting bulls weighing well over 600kg each. “Sometimes it’s quite bizarre to write this stuff down on a page and then a couple of months later be stood on set in the dead of night, watching a half naked man running straight at a 600kg bull before jumping clean over it,” says Sam Walker, creative director on the ad.
