Label Love: Get Girly With Whit
Posted in: Uncategorized  | Designer Whitney Pozgay may be launching her debut line Whit this year, but she’s no newbie to the fashion world. As the niece of Kate Spade (yes, the one and only) she cut her teeth as a junior designer there and moved on as the head women’s designer for Steven Alan. Whitney has since taken her design skills to create her own line inspired by artist Henry Darger, Jane Birkin, François Hardy, and Nouvelle Vague. The end result is a whimsical mix of mini dresses, silk blouses, and head wear that will definitely turn heads. One of my favorite looks is a black sleeveless crinkled shirt paired with a metallic gold mini skirt that I can wear to the office or on a night out. I can imagine stylish celebs like Alexa Chung or Carey Mulligan wear almost everything from Whit. For more from the collection, take a look at my slideshow. |
