Label Love: Get A Dose Of Parisian Sex Appeal From Calla
Posted in: UncategorizedCanadian born and Paris based designer Calla Haynes began her fashion career as a model while studying at the Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris, which then quickly landed her jobs with Olivier Theyskens for five years at Rochas and Nina Ricci. She moved on as a freelance and created textiles for designers such as Alexander Wang and Erin Fetherston. It was only natural that she took the next step and launched her own line. Her spring 2010 collection featured luxurious fabrics crafted into casual chic garments. In a muted color palette featuring nudes, creams, and grays the feminine collection included body conscious corset dresses and tops, slim trousers, and blazers that don’t have the “boyfriend” prefix. Her unique digital prints add to the easy going yet alluring collection. Her line is currently only available at Debut in New York, but I’m sure it won’t be long until more stores follow!
