Sony Bloggie ad; agency: 180 Los Angeles; prod co: Caviar, Los Angeles; director: Keith Schofield
For your Friday pleasure, here’s a round-up of nice ad work that’s passed through CR Towers this week. First up, director Keith Schofield turns a digital product presentation analogue in this spot for Sony’s new HD video camera, the Bloggie.
DSCF ad; agency: Wieden + Kennedy London; creatives: Paul Jordan, Angus Macadam; prod co: Academy; director: Walter Stern
Wieden + Kennedy London plug into parents’ worst fears in this spot for the DCSF, which aims to encourage children to “have a safe and sensible relationship with alcohol”, according to the press release.
BBC Knowledge film; agency: Three Drunk Monkeys; director: Sean Pecknold
Recent Rokkit signing Sean Pecknold has directed this charming film for BBC Knowledge, which is also his first foray into commercials directing.
Nike True City iPhone app; agency: AKQA
AKQA is behind this new iPhone app for Nike, titled True City. The app gives cultural and sporting info in six European cities, as the film above explains.
T-Mobile ad; agency: Saatchi & Saatchi; creatives: Steve Howell, Rick Dodds
Next up is the culmination of the recent Josh’s Band campaign for T-Mobile from Saatchi & Saatchi in London. The campaign saw Josh set up an enormous band using his phone, with 1,107 band members featuring on the recording of the song Come With Me, which was also written by the superband. Here they are in action singing the song, which will also be released as a single from Monday. Here at CR, if we see another ad featuring cheerful members of the public joining in wacky ad events we may all break down and cry, but perhaps we are old and cynical, so I have included the spot here so you can all make up your own minds about it…
Cravendale ad; agency: Wieden + Kennedy London; creatives: Hollie Sayers, Freddie Powell; prod co: Not to Scale; director: Pic Pic Andre
Finally, we end with another spot in an ongoing ad campaign, but one that we love: Cravendale. This time the intrepid cow, pirate and cyclist travel through time to demonstrate the milk brand’s purity. Lovely stuff.
