The Lola Series, by photographer Joshua Scott, is a series of product shots for the new Marc Jacobs perfume Lola. According to Scott, who has been shooting cosmetic product images for the past couple years, images of fragrances are hard to differentiate from one another—”they were all liquid in a bottle.” This time, Scott decided to shoot the fragrances without the actual package, as designed for consumption. Instead, he and his partner Yee Wong designed a series of images that captured the intangible quality of the scent, which, in this case, seems to be “exploding confetti party.”
