Guide to Melbourne, by and for creatives

Visiting a new city is always fun when you’ve got that local design-savvy friend to steer you past the claptraps and show you the truly cool stuff.

Melbourne Design Guide aims to be that friend, with the added benefit of fitting inside your bag (and plus you don’t have to buy him lunch). The 450-page book was written using “current design intelligence from Melbourne’s creative community,” so you can easily find attractions in the categories of Craft and Graphic Design, Built Environment, Product Design, and Fashion and Art.

Even the book itself is design-y:

Its twofold construction simplifies what can often be the daunting task of navigating the second most populous city in Australia. Designed for reading from either end, the flip style allows one half of the book to focus on the city’s design destinations while the other profiles Melbourne’s leading designers.
