Last week, we asked you all to weigh on and let us know which celeb you think rocked the new lighter denim trend the best. Whitney Port, reality star and fashion designer, looked sophisticated but youthful with her cropped tweed jacket and estate-inspired statement pieces balanced out with cuffed boyfriend jeans and a casual up-do. Studded platform heels added a rocker edge. But it was truly a battle of the songstresses with Jessica Simpson and Rihanna pulling in an equal percentage of votes with 40% each and making this the first celeb poll tie! Both singers opted for a skinny leg cut, but Jessica kept her look classic and preppy with a cropped military blazer and an oversized bag in a versatile dark taupe. Dark-blue suede booties subtly added a trendy vibe to her ensemble, while keeping the look classic. Fashion forward Rihanna chose a super light wash of denim and let the vibrant hue of her fitted sweater speak for itself. Classic black pumps and understated jewelry makes this an eye-catching, but refreshingly clean and simple look for the usually over-the-top star.
