Get A Dose Of Eco Chic Clothing With San Francisco-Based Label Mr. Larkin!

With everything going on in the world, it’s hard to ignore what were doing to our earth, so in 2009 I’m making an effort to buy green. I’ve found my self in quite a conundrum though– I want to be green, but I don’t want to look green. I have no interest in looking like a hippie at a Grateful Dead concert. Spring ’09 brings a whole slew new fashionable eco lines and a new line out of San Francisco, Mr. Larkin, hit the nail on the head. The collection combines an organic aesthetic with fashion forward architectural shapes, without a hint of hippie dippy! Using fabrics like organic cotton and eco wool, designer Casey Larkin also experimented with gauze made from milk fiber and natural dye using berries and seeds. Every part of these garments are eco friendly; all embellishments and trims are recycled vintage pieces like metal paillettes and beads from the 1930’s and 50’s. The entire collection is made locally, and even the tags are eco friendly and plant-able. If you’re looking for elevated eco fashion looks, look no further than Mr. Larkin. The prices range from $60 for a pair of leggings to $850 for a floor grazing milk fiber gown.
