What he brought to the screen didn’t just influence trends at the time– it continues to trickle into fashion movements. Here, a look at the quintessential looks from Hughes’ movies, some of which are totally relevant today thanks to the ’80s being back in a big way. The bucket hat and blazer: In 1986’s “Pretty In Pink,” Molly Ringwald plays heroine Andie. She isn’t the most popular girl in school, but she loves fashion and shows off her creative personal style.
