Father’s Day Film Fare
Posted in: Uncategorized
A friendly reminder that, in many parts of the world, this Sunday is Father’s day.
I decided to thank my dad (the greatest!) by giving him a Paul Newman-themed dvd collection. So many stellar films to choose from: The Hustler (1961), Slap Shot (1977), Cool Hand Luke (1967) and Hud (1963) among them. Paul was one fine man, on and off screen.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Nobody’s Fool is particularly wonderful. A sweet, wry comedy in which Paul stars as Sully, a dashing 60-something curmudgeon who faces family responsibilities late in the game. Click here to watch the trailer.
And happy father’s day to all the dads out there.
