Double-duty bike pump and light

Recently-graduated industrial designer Kai Malte Roever’s Puyl device is a combination bicycle pump and illuminating light that requires no batteries; the pumping motion you use to put air in the tires also juices up the light, meaning no batteries to buy, and renewable illumination for as long as the LED bulb wil last.
Roever’s design was awarded a 2009 Eurobike Award in the Student category and is currently patent pending.
