Veer Product Design and Scribble Product Design have collaborated to make the Type Tray, a laptop tray that looks like wood but is made from industrial wool felt, chosen to dissipate heat. The pattern you see is etched via laser. Not sure if I’d pay 100 bucks for it, but until engineers figure out how to make cooler-running laptops, designers will be busy coming up with products like these.
