We loves us some process shots, and it’s cool to see Chicago-based designer Craighton Berman’s Coil Lamp move from concept sketch to rendering to constituent parts to working prototype to ready-to-sell.

The lamp is pretty much WYSIWYG, made from a standard 100-foot extension cord wrapped around a plexi form to give it shape.

We wonder if you can plug it into faraway outlets by simply unspooling more of the lamp….
