Smart Design is looking for a Senior or High Level Staff Engineer to join our New York office who is driven to design and develop innovative products that become best sellers in the market place. The engineering team is expected to take full advantage of our in-house prototyping shop, electronics lab, and rapid prototyping machines to develop new mechanisms and prove out functional concepts. Potential candidates must have prior experience developing new products from initial concept, through prototyping, to detailing for manufacturing. Design engineers work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to implement complex designs in 3D CAD (Pro/E or Solidworks) and are responsible for making sure designs can be manufactured.
