Colophon Hits New York to Explore The Future of Print

colophon ADC.jpgReports of print’s death are greatly exaggerated. Get the inside scoop on what the future holds tomorrow evening, when Colophon—the international independent magazines biennale—teams up with the Art Directors Club to host “The Future of Print,” a discussion about independent magazines at the ADC Gallery in New York City. Just in time for the publication of Colophon’s new book, We Make Magazines: Inside the Independents (Die Gestalten Verlag), the event will explore key issues in independent publishing with an all-star panel: Capricious founder and publisher Sophie Mörner, Print editor-in-chief Emily Gordon, Woooooo! editor and founder Jason Crombie, and Roane Carey, managing editor of The Nation. “It should be a great night,” Colophon co-curator Andrew Losowsky tells us. “Looking at creativity and publishing outside of the mainstream.” The outsider fun begins tomorrow at 6:30 p.m., and admission is $5 (free to ADC members). RSVP here.
