We are in love with Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week’s new locale in Lincoln Center. So much so the excitement conjures up another hey-day in the city that never sleeps – Studio 54, dahling! Similar to NYFW, it was the place to see and be seen, where the society, the arts and fashion came together to create this dazzling and exciting epoch. With disco on the brain, the iconic 1970€™s designer Halston comes to mind, worn by his gals, Lauren Hutton, Bianca Jagger and Anjelica Huston- whom all referred to him as ‘Ash’ (how the French pronounce the letter €œH€�). Today, Marios Schwab has taken over the label and launched Halston Heritage, a collection that features reproductions of archival Halston pieces. Schwab designed the collection to €œecho the heritage but with a very distinctive, modern feel that is completely new and completely now.” This description totally applies to none-other than Halston€™s iconic muse and €œit€� girl Lauren Hutton. Hutton is known for her adventurous spirit, having wrestled alligators, traversed the Arctic in a dog sled and spent time with African tribesman and is still going strong. She continues to empower women of all ages today and is still working as an actress and model. According to Hutton, €œWe have to be able to grow up. Our wrinkles are our medals of the passage of life. They are what we have been through and who we want to be.€� The Halston Heritage collection mimics such modernity making it the perfect fit for ladies of any age.
