The HANDY VA is a 2013 Red Dot Award: Design Concept Winner.

Combi Cleaning

The Combi is a robotic vacuum cleaner that cleans your space efficiently. It features an integrated dust buster to get to those hard-to-reach nooks. The robot is designed to look friendly and appealing; it fits well into your home environment. The good thing is that you can set the cleaner to both robotic and manual function. So either let the vacuum do its thing or you do it your way!

Clean Both Ways

The Dual Cleaner is a unique combination of a vacuum cleaner at one end and steam cleaner at the other end. It’s process is such that it vacuums the area at first and then wipes cleanly with the steam cleaner. Designed to be a wall mounted appliance, the cleaner fits aesthetically into a home environment. A neat cleaner to have around!

Form Follows Function, Maybe!

Gotto love the cheeky tagline of the 3F Concept Vacuum Cleaner, it says ‘Form Follows Function.’ Given that Yanko Design believes that ‘Form Beyond Function’, the debate surrounding this vacuum’s form and function, can get quite heated! To tie it up for you, the Triple”F” is a cleaner that it cleans, disinfects and freshens the air in your home.

The inspiration for this vacuum comes from ballet dancing: while at work it resembles a skirt, floating gracefully over your floor. Thanks to the different built-in filters, you can interchange the scented filters to get the aroma of your choice.

Features:

  • When the vacuum is OFF, it stands erect to avoid wastage of space in compact apartments.
  • When it is ON, it extends its base to gain better stability and a wider working surface.
  • The 3F cleaner is fully autonomous and can even reach its charging base on its own.
  • It can be controlled via smartphones and tablets, so that the user can ensure cleanliness remotely.

On My Windowsill

… lies a lot of dust, especially in-between the rail tracks for the window. I do my best to keep the dust and debris away, however the combination of vacuuming the track and brushing out the debris doesn’t help. I also require a low maintenance herb to grow on my windowsill, and this is how I will tackle both these aspects.

Cleaner Robot by Chae Young Sam & Jeong Ming Yeong is this beautifully designed vacuum with brush that dedicatedly cleans up the rail tracks of the sliding windows. The robotic device even features a built-in UV lamp for sterilization and recharges using solar power.

Plan’t – Solar Energy Garden by Min Soon Kim is a hydroponic cultivating machine that can be used in apartments to grow vegetables right on your window. The device harnesses solar energy and then uses it to power a mild LED mood lamp for the night and also for the times when the sun doesn’t shine so much for the plant.

Better Than Roomba?

In a way yes, because this robotic vacuum cleaner uses eco-sense for operations! The Giving Tree is as robotic as the next iProduct and it cleans your space with TLC. The eco angle is included via the power system. It has been designed to conserve electricity and in a way harness some juice while it’s working. Before the engineers start their tirade, let me tell you that the idea is worth exploring. Unlike some commercially available robotic cleaners whose batteries die out within a year or two, having an eco-backup plan sounds better. What do you think?
