Takashi Yamada has been a jury member of the red dot award: design concept for the past two years. As a person who has seen the inside of how it all works, trust me this is one competition you do not want to miss. Name, fame, recognition and instant key to the doors of opportunities are some of the many perks. I love Tak’s interview that they captured, which can be seen after the jump; incase you are wondering, the backdrop is of the permanent Tupperware exhibition at the red dot museum in Singapore.

The search for the best visions, prototypes and concepts of 2014 has begun Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2014. Calling on design teams, designers, inventors, students, teachers, research institutes, design departments, architects, engineers, any one with a great design idea to take notice.
The early bird submission period is open now and will end on 29 January 2014.

Some stats for the red dot awards: design concept

• There were 4,394 entries submitted from 57 countries for the year 2013.
• This year there are shorter timelines for submissions.
• The result will be an earlier announcement of the year’s best design concepts for their outstanding design quality and excellence on the 26 September 2014.

This is the sevent anniversary of one of the largest international design awards for young design talent. The iF concept design award is for students and graduates from all design disciplines and the jury is looking for concepts that represent a response to future challenges and that consider intelligent and contemporary design strategies.

The iF concept design award 2014 is one of the largest international young talent awards that’s open to all design disciplines. Enter now and use the opportunity to present and compare your ideas on an international level!

• The top 100 entries will be acknowledged with an iF concept design award 2014! Out of these, the very best entries will each get a share of a EUR 30,000 cash prize.
• There will also be two special prizes with a prize money of EUR 5,000 each where you can register additionally: The ‘Hansgrohe Preis 2014: Efficient Water Design’ as well as the “Haier Special Prize 2014: Wonderful Home Life – free your imagination on the elements of food, water and air”.

Esce in questi giorni il calendario per l’anno 2014 dedicato a Fausto Coppi, forse il più amato e popolare sportivo italiano di tutti i tempi. Lui era originario di Castellania, un paesino vicino a Novi Ligure che è anche patria dei curatori di questo progetto: lo studio di marketing e comunicazione FARGO® e PICAME. Il layout è stato completamente aggiornato mentre foto e articoli inediti verranno accompagnati da 13 illustrazioni ad opera del giovane talento italiano Joey Guidone. L’intero progetto editoriale è stato ideato dai figli del Campionissimo, Marina e Fausto Angelo per sostenere l’Associazione Onlus Enrico Cucchi di Tortona, attiva nell’assistenza dei malati bisognosi di cure palliative.
