Art Directors Club Names 50 New Young Guns

The jury of veteran Young Guns (old guns?) has spoken, and the Art Directors Club has just announced the 50 winners of its eighth portfolio-based awards program for young creatives in visual media and design. The latest crop of Young Guns includes representatives from 14 countries (entries came from a whopping 37) who are doing extraordinary things in the fields of graphic design, illustration, advertising and art direction, environmental design, film, animation, interactive design, product design, and—whew!—typography. You’ll surely recognize some of the names on the full list of winners (posted below), including UnBeige favorite Jennifer Daniel, Pentagram’s Joseph Marianek, and illustrator extraordinaire Micah Lidberg. A selection of personal and professional work by all of the winners goes on exhibit at the ADC Gallery in New York on October 7, which is also the date of the opening party that will be DJed by (Pretty) Girls & Lasers. Meanwhile, the winners of Young Guns 8 will be the first recipients of a redesigned award cube, part of a new ADC initiative to bestow a fresh award upon each class of Young Guns.
