Black and White inspiration
Posted in: UncategorizedSomehow nice things always seem to come together for me … like the other day when I was reading my favorite interior magazine, the UK Elle Decoration, and saw this gorgeous house … just 2 days later I discover the exact same images online on a fantastic website packed with interior decoration inspiration … The photographer is Frederik Vercruysse and he also photographed the beautiful apartment below …
{Another beautiful home photographed by Frederik Vercruysse} … both images reminded me of a home that the well-known Dutch photographer Hotze Eisma once made of an Amsterdam apartment where handbag designer Ulrika Lundgren (or Rika) lives, please see image below, and she has decorated her home with my favorite color/material palette :: black – white – wood – concrete ….
{photography by Hotze Eisma} All these images really do the trick for me … and make me want to decorate and decorate and decorate more in our home too…maybe a bit less black, but how I Love the combination of the woods, leathers, brick wall, contemporary furniture and … well just everything!
And speaking of Hotze Eisma … I remember him making images of the house of my former boss (I used to work for a Dutch photography agency in Amsterdam called Nel after the founder and super women Nelleke, who now runs a couple of unique shops in Amsterdam, visiting her home once in a while always encouraged me to start to learn more an more about contemporary design, furniture and interior decoration … Nelleke truly is a trendsetting and wonderful women! Kiss for you Nel 🙂
