The Home of Annebet Phillips

Do you remember the post 'Get Your Kicks on' … well today Anke and Kim are showing us this housetour shot in the interesting home of Dutch designer, Annebet Philips. Not only does A have the most quaint home, her works fit right into that space. We love how her designs have literally found their homes, in her home!
As a Delft University of Technology student a few years ago, Annebet took the time to pursue her own design projects and set up her studio in 2012. Her works are recognizable by their bold shapes and graphic features like the outlines on her My couch, my canvas. Another one of my favorite works of hers is the Knotted lamp!
Firstly, it is so unusual it wouldn't strike you that it was a lamp at first glance. Also, its exaggerated size gives me a sense of fantasy and imagination.
Annebet has shown us how her works have come alive in her home. The red and black accents in her pieces create a visual 'pop' in the space. They remind me of something out of an illustration, the graphic effect and the lines in her designs look like they have been drawn into the space itself. Simple yet eye-catching and wonderfully captured by the ladies from Get Your Kicks On!
