State-of-the-art Scooter

The latest in a trend of fairing-clad scooters, the electric XQ’s semi-monocoque body does more than help aerodynamics. It offers sensible storage for the rider’s small belongings and cargo. It also houses the seat and steering column which automatically retract in OFF mode for both security and to save space. Rear-view microcams with smartphone syncing and solar panels for supplemental energy are just a few of its modern accessories. Check it out —>

EcoMoto

Designed around EngineAir Australia’s compressed air powered rotary engine, this concept scooter was developed as a green solution for casually zipping around town. Focused around ecology and utility, with the design cuts the bike down to its bare essentials. Steam pressed bamboo is used in place of plastic for all of the fairings, to give it a unique, raw aesthetic that draws viewer’s eyes to the unconventional engine design as well as the air tank that replaces the fuel tank.

Kid’s Scooter Pack

Michael Markiewicz’ scooter was désigned for kids who commute! Rather than lug around a backpack on their shoulders, the combination design includes a backpack adapted to attach to the front of the scooter. After they’ve arrived at school, kids can collapse the scooter and roll their bag from class to class like wheeled luggage. Better for the back and twice as fun!

Not your mother’s moped.

Though it’s almost 130 years old, the Piaggio brand is renowned for transportation that’s just plain different. The Piaggio PAM expands on this with a partially enclosed structure filled with smart-features like calibrated seat adjustment, photovoltaic solar energy-harvesting material, a HUD windshield, GPS navigation and even safety airbags. Like Piaggio’s MP3 scooter, the PAM also uses 3 wheels for added traction and balance, but these are reversed from front to back for a sportier riding feel.

Bio-Based E-Scooter

Argueably the most sustainable scooter in the world, “Be.e” is constructed almost entirely of bio-composites. The monocoque body is made from flax and bio-resin, and its unique eggshell shape and frameless construction reduces the total amount of parts drastically without sacrificing structural integrity. Fully electric, it’s also quiet enough to hear a pin drop! Watch it zip around—>

One Step for Man

From an engineering perspective, the step scooter is a true innovation in human powered vehicles. Other mobile products have tried to recreate the non-cycling, up-down motion similar to a stair-climber with limited practical results. The STP scooter expands on the functionality and appeal by making it foldable and as aesthetically customizable as a skateboard deck. More efficient than a kick scooter and half the size of a bike, it’s perfect for stepping your way around the city.

Need For Speed

Two-wheelers have their fancy appeal and I for one love the ride. The FREERIDE E-SPEED Electric Scooter Concept is essentially a motorcycle idea in a scooter’s architecture. The bike gives the vibe of a hyped up sports scooter in KISKA-KTM design. Redefining urban mobility, the bike is light and sexy.

Technically, the11 kW, 36 Nm strong and up to 85 km / h fast prototype is based on a ultramodern tubular steel frame mounted on alight cast alloy battery pack, and has front and rear mono-swingarm suspension with WP springs.
